Community Projects
Capital One Disability project

This project is designed to help improve motor skills, co-ordination, and sensory awareness through the enjoyment of rugby related practices. The opportunity to meet the first team players as they deliver various aspects of the project helps to encourage everyone to be involved.
Capital One Leadership project
The leadership project is an initiative that seeks to develop confidence and interpersonal skills in young people by using TAG rugby and the opportunity for the children to coach each other. Raising their awareness about themselves and seeking to develop identified areas over the course of the six week programme.
Rushcliffe Health Project
In Partnership with Rushcliffe Council the Community team will be delivering the " MEND" programme, supporting young people and their families who participate on the project through mentoring, promotion of health eating and lifestyle, also inviting them to see them play at Meadow Lane.
Nottinghamshire County Council
In Patnership with Nottinghamshire County Council the Community team will be delivering the community schools programme that has been planned and co-ordinated with RFU Development Officer (RFUDO). As part of this the Community scheme will also to engage with special schools within the Nottinghamshire area.
The partnership will also include the Community team suporting the RFUDO County Primary Schools County Finals - 28th May and offering Support for the NCC talented coaches programme. The Community team will be fully engaged in volunteering programmes such as Step into Sport including provision of quality placements at Nottingham Rugby events and activities.
Academy in the Community
Academy in the community project aims to support player and coach development at local rugby clubs. It is the opportunity for clubs to invite the academy coaches and players to the clubs and deliver a specific technique or skill which meets the clubs development plan.
