Coventry Vital Play-Off Preparation Says Delaney

Glenn Delaney knows that when his side takes on Coventry this Saturday at Meadow Lane it is their last chance to prepare for the upcoming promotion play-offs.

The match is the last of the regular season before the top eight teams embark on a battle for the ultimate prize - a place in the Guinness Premiership.

Confidence will be key going into their first play-off match against bitter rivals Exeter on Sunday March 21 and Delaney believes a win on Saturday would be the perfect start.

He said: "This game against Coventry is really our last chance to try out new things and put into practice what we have been doing in training before we go out there against Exeter next weekend. It's our dress rehearsal.

"We have been trying some new things out on the training park and working on certain parts of our game that needed improvement over the last few weeks.

"Saturday's game is the chance to go out and put those ideas into practice in a game environment and make sure they are working before we start our play-off campaign.

"We know teams find playing at Meadow Lane a challenge and we want to build on that with a strong performance on Saturday. 

"Having the crowd behind us will make all the difference in the next few weeks so it will be a great chance for people to see what we have been doing"

"We have a very big six weeks or so ahead of us and we need to be ready as a squad, and Saturday's game is the final preparation for that."

Nottingham face Coventry on Saturday March 13 (3pm) at Meadow Lane. Ticket prices for this game have been reduced to just £15 for adults.
