Rowan to Captain England U20s
Jacob Rowan will lead England U20s out in their RBS Six Nations match against Scotland tomorrow night.
The 20-year-old Leeds Carnegie flanker will be joined in the starting line-up by Andrew Forsyth, Sam Harrison, Calum Green (all Leicester Tigers) and Tom Casson (Harlequins) who have all represented the Green & Whites this season.
Rowan captained Nottingham to their 5-nil win over Heriots in the British & Irish Cup in November while Harrison, Green and Casson have played a regular part in the Championship campaign.
Huddersfield-born Forsyth has made two appearances in Nottingham colours this season, including last weekend's narrow loss to Bristol at Meadow Lane.
Director of Rugby Glenn Delaney is delighted the dual-registered youngsters have been selected ahead of the match that could see them top the table, he said: "It's a massive honour for these guys to be involved in the England squad.
"It's a real recognition of how well they have been playing this season and we are very proud of them and how they are developing as players.
"The guys have played an important part in our season here at Nottingham and it's great to see them playing representative rugby.
"It's a credit to what we are doing here at Nottingham in terms of player development that the guys are in the mix.
"They are getting competitive rugby on a regular basis, which is exactly what they need to improve their game and put themselves up there when it is selection time."
