NOTTINGHAM Rugby will be looking to kick start their 2010-11 Championship campaign when they host visitors and last season's semi-finalists London Welsh on Sunday 29th August.

Last year the Green and Whites engaged the London side in several key clashes as both sides fought hard to secure places in the promotion play-offs.

In what is sure to be an explosive opening day battle, Nottingham will be looking to avenge last season's  Meadow Lane defeat and give all our supporters something to cheer ahead of an action-packed season.

Director of Rugby Glenn Delaney said: "London Welsh are a brilliant team who we always love to play,  this is a fixture we've been playing over the years and we've built up a great rivalry. Last year London Welsh deservedly beat us a home after we fought hard to beat them away a week before.

"Both ourselves and the visitors will be fighting to fill the places at the top of the table and this should be a fantastic game as we look to start our season with a bang.

"We haven't won our first game of a season for a few years and that's something we've been working incredibly hard to try to try and achieve this year. All the support we get will be greatly appreciated and make a huge difference to the players. "
