Nottingham Rugby Community Partners
Nottingham City Council
Nottingham City
Council is an all-purpose unitary authority providing all local
government services within the City of Nottingham administrative
district and working with other organisations to make Nottingham a
better place in which to live, work, visit and invest.
Nottinghamshire County Council
Nottinghamshire County Council provides a
wide range of key services to some 750,000 citizens of the County
of Nottinghamshire. These people are our customers and we put them
first. Our aim is to continuously improve our services to ensure
that they are of a high quality and provide value for money.
Rushcliffe Borough Council
Rushcliffe lies
immediately south of the City of Nottingham and the River Trent and
extends across towards Newark in the North East and Loughborough in
the South West. Although parts of the Borough lie close to
Nottingham, Rushcliffe has a strong identity of its own. The main
centre of population is West Bridgford, where around 36,000 of the
Borough's 100,000 plus population live. The remainder of the
district is largely rural, with the centres of population split
between small towns and villages.
West Bridgford, a leafy suburb, is where the Borough Council has
its base at the Civic Centre. It has a lively town centre, offering
a range of shops to cater for most everyday needs, with plenty of
low-cost parking - and there are three large superstore shopping
developments in the area.
Capital One

Capital One are a key partner of the Nottingham Rugby in the
Community Programme, working with the Championship club on two
major fronts.
The first is a leadership and educational project in
Primary Schools which targets years five and six students, using
rugby to support other subject areas. This programme has been
highly successful and aims to also support staff to develop their
knowledge of rugby, which following the reduction of funding to
School Sport Partnerships recently, is needed now more than ever
before.
The second programme delivered with Capital One targets young
people in Special Schools and is driven by our club captain Craig
Hammond. The skipper delivers a wide variety of rugby based
activities to support the learning and physical activity levels in
a number of schools. Not only has the program been hugely
successful, Hammond has had a great time delivering this important
initiative. With two apprentice community coaches working with
Hammond, the students have had both strong and inspirational
figures to learn from.
Several new schools will be coming on board over the next few
months to further extend the impact of this great project.
A massive thank you to Capital One for their continued support
of Nottingham Rugby in the Community and making a huge impact on
the lives of hundreds of young people.
Hall-Fast
NOTTINGHAM Rugby has
teamed up with one of the Midland's best exporters to deliver
coaching programmes further and wider than ever
before.
Hall-Fast, the industrial supplies company that was recently
honoured as the Midlands Exporter of the Year, has struck a new
partnership with the Green and Whites' community department to
deliver coaching into North Nottinghamshire.
More than 20 schools in the area will benefit from the
initiative before Christmas, with Nottingham not only focused on
skills sessions, but increasing physical activity and promoting
healthy lifestyles.
Nottingham will assist the development of the game alongside RFU
development officers already in the area, helping support schools
rugby competitions, and improve links to local clubs and
opportunities for young people to participate in the game. The
project will run throughout Mansfield, Ollerton, Ashfield, East
Retford, Southwell, Worksop, Chesterfield and Newark.
With community coach and Worksop resident Josh Salathiel
delivering the initiative, the program will have a truly local
feel.
lm Hall, Managing Director of Hall-Fast added: "Whilst
sponsoring this programme provides coaching to local youngsters, I
think it also has the potential to inspire them to widen their
horizons and realise their full potential. "
Hall-Fast was founded in 2006 and has grown to be an
award winning business supplying over 48,000 industrial products to
local companies as well customers in over 75 countries. In 2012
Hall-Fast won the Midlands Exporter of the Year Award.

Lusum
Lusum started off as a small idea
amongst a small group of sports lovers in
rural Oxfordshire. The aim was to create the best balls
possible without charging hugely
inflated prices - so the best balls can be available for anyone to
use, from
school kids to professionals.Using a distinctive pink colour - as
one
which can be seen in your peripheral vision better than a standard
ball. We have
also done aerodynamic testing and perfected the flight of the
elite ball so the
kicking performance is the best it can be. We have created
three different balls - our training ball the Munifex, the
Optio match ball and the best of the best - the elite match ball,
Aquilifer. Information about Lusum can be found at www.lusum.co.uk
and balls from their retailer can be found at www.sportsballshop.co.uk
