Bristol 33 vs Nottingham 18 - Match Preview

Nottingham Rugby head to the Memorial Stadium on Sunday (27th October) as they return to Greene King IPA Championship action against Bristol. (3pm kick off)

Nottingham Vs Munster

While the Green and Whites are still looking for their first victory since their opening day win against Leeds Carnegie, the squad are in a positive mood following their performance against Munster in their previous outing, according to scrum half Sean Romans.

He said, "It was a very encouraging display against Munster and in all honesty we controlled that game from start to finish.  While we're obviously disappointed that the result didn't go our way, the fact that we put together a full 80 minute performance and showed that we were more than a match for one of the strongest teams in the B&I Cup gives us a really good platform to build from for this weekend.  Overall it was great for the team.

"Bristol look strong again this year and we know they'll have a big crowd at the Memorial Stadium but we're confident that we can head down there, concentrate on our own performance and do ourselves justice.  The confidence in the camp remains high and we'll be working our socks off for each other to get a result."

Nottingham go into the match buoyed by the return of Neilus Keogh from injury who comes into the second row, replacing Tom Price.  Tom Calladine remains at Number 8 following his man of the match display against Munster.

In the backs, Tom Chapman comes in on the left wing following his try scoring debut against Jersey but an injury to George Catchpole sees Ed Styles move into the centre.

Andrew Savage returns from injury on the right wing while Rory Lynn starts at full back.
