A hat-trick of second half tries from London Scottish winger
Miles Mantella saw Nottingham slip to their second consecutive
defeat in the Greene King IPA Championship.
A dour first half saw very little action and Nottingham went in
ahead at 6-3 thanks to two Matthew Jarvis penalties.
A yellow card for Scottish's Neil Best just before half time
would have seen Nottingham hoping to take advantage as the second
half got underway.
However the match continued in the same vein as the first half
with very little happening and Best back on the field without
having missed very much.
Mantella then got in on the act scoring three excellent tries
and it has to be said his performance deserved the scores. He
had been by far the most dangerous player on the field in the
previous 50 odd minutes of inaction.
Lee Millar added all three conversions plus two further
penalties to give a final score of 27-6 to London Scottish.
Nottingham's Tom Calladine saw yellow late in the game and this
was swiftly followed by Neil Best's second yellow and subsequently
a red card.
