Green and Whites sign centre Luke Peters

Nottingham Rugby is delighted to announce the signing of centre Luke Peters for the 2018/19 season.

Joining from Rotherham Titans, 24-year-old Luke came through the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence at London Irish.

He then represented the Exiles in the Aviva Premiership ‘A’ League.

Balancing a degree in quantity surveying with playing for Yorkshire Carnegie Academy, he helped guide Leeds Beckett to victory in the 2015 BUCS Super Rugby final.

Luke then joined Ealing Trailfinders where he enjoyed a fantastic season, moving to Rotherham Titans in 2017.

Head Coach Neil Fowkes is delighted to have a player of Luke’s talent in the team, he said: “Luke brings so many qualities to our back line.

“For someone so young he’s got a lot of experience, coming through the ranks and cutting his teeth at a high level.

“He has a brilliant rugby brain and I’m looking forward to seeing how he fits in with the rest of the team.”

Luke said: “Joining Nottingham Rugby was an easy decision. “They have a great set up and a really welcoming environment that is proven to improve players, something which I value and look forward to being a part of”

Luke spent the majority of the 2017/18 season with a foot injury which left him unable to play from November onwards.

“It was quite a difficult and frustrating period for me but I’m excited to join an ambitious squad full of talented players,” added Luke.

Nottingham Rugby recently announced the signing of prop Oisin Heffernan from Leinster as well as Llewelyn Jones and Will Owen, as Neil Fowkes prepares to finalise his squad for the season.
