Campese reports for duty

Campese Ma'afu named after the record try scoring Australian wing David Campese reported for duty at the Lady Bay training ground last week. Campo, as he is known by his teammates, has joined the rest of the squad a little way into preseason but it hasn't affected the powerful Fijian international prop, who can play both tight and loose head prop. Joining up with the rest of the Green and White squad after a 5 week international tour with Fiji, in which he played in all six tour matches, means Campese is in great physical condition and raring to go for the start of the new season. "I can wait for the season to start, I noticed straight away that this is a hard working good bunch of lads. I came to Nottingham because I want to be part of the club moving forward and was impressed by Martin Haag" said Campese.

Campese brings a vast amount of versatility to the front row being able to play either side of the scrum and also a lot of experience, having played in the last World Cup and spending the last two years with the RaboDirect Pro12 outfit Cardiff Blues.
