Cobden Bouncing Back

Back on 20th April 2013, during the last game of the regular season as the Green and Whites travelled north to face Leeds, Nottingham Centre Joe Cobden injured his knee.

Fast forward 8 months and Cobden has had a successful operation and is back on the road to recovery.

The Nottingham physiotherapists are continuing to work with Cobden through his rehabilitation and he is extremely happy with the progress he's been making.

Cobden said, "My rehab has been going really well. I started doing a little bit of running just before Christmas and have been building that up over the last few weeks. The knee is feeling good and I've been working really hard in the gym with Jo Brun.

"We've been doing plenty of rehab exercises for my legs, which have been working well. The break from playing has also given me the chance to work on my upper body strength and to put a little bit of extra size on, which should help my game once I get back to playing."

After months on the sidelines, Cobden still has a little way to go before he's back out on the Meadow Lane pitch in front of the Green and White faithful, but he's looking forward to pulling that Green and White jersey on again.

"I'm really excited about playing again, but when that will actually happen will largely depend on how my rehab goes over the next month or so," explained Cobden.
