Back on 20th April 2013, during the last game
of the regular season as the Green and Whites travelled north to
face Leeds, Nottingham Centre Joe Cobden injured his
Fast forward 8 months and Cobden has had a successful operation
and is back on the road to recovery.
The Nottingham physiotherapists are continuing to work with
Cobden through his rehabilitation and he is extremely happy with
the progress he's been making.
Cobden said, "My rehab has been going really well. I started
doing a little bit of running just before Christmas and have been
building that up over the last few weeks. The knee is feeling good
and I've been working really hard in the gym with Jo Brun.
"We've been doing plenty of rehab exercises for my legs, which
have been working well. The break from playing has also given me
the chance to work on my upper body strength and to put a little
bit of extra size on, which should help my game once I get back to
After months on the sidelines, Cobden still has a little way to
go before he's back out on the Meadow Lane pitch in front of the
Green and White faithful, but he's looking forward to pulling that
Green and White jersey on again.
"I'm really excited about playing again, but when that
will actually happen will largely depend on how my rehab goes over
the next month or so," explained Cobden.
