JOE Duffey has been suspended from playing for Nottingham Rugby for three weeks following an internal disciplinary hearing held on Thursday, December 6.

The hooker (pictured) was found guilty of striking an opponent during the 11-10 RFU Championship loss to the Cornish Pirates on December 2.

A club statement said: "The foul play by Joe Duffey during the meeting with Pirates was deemed unacceptable by the internal disciplinary panel. Joe has expressed remorse for his actions and the club feels encouraged by his attitude to improve his conduct in future."
