Louis Grimoldby Joins Nottingham Rugby from Harlequins

Nottingham Rugby is pleased to announce the dual registration signing of Louis Grimoldby from Harlequins for the 2014/15 season.

GrimoldbyGrimoldby, 20, is a talented fly half and is a current England under 20's international.  He joins the Green and Whites who have been short of numbers at 10 due to injury.

Nottingham Rugby Head Coach Martin Haag said, "We're delighted to have Louis coming in at fly half. He's highly rated by Harlequins, but as he's currently got some big names in front of him at the Stoop, we'll be able to have him with us when they don't need him for a particular match.

"With our injuries to Rory Lynn and Dan Mugford, who are both on the mend, and Will Maisey, who played on Saturday being a Leicester Lions player, we need cover and competition in this position.

"I have been very impressed with Louis' attitude and skill level in his first week as he looks to get used to how we do things and I look forward to seeing him develop while he is with us."

Harlequins Academy Manager Tony Diprose said, "The development and experience that Louis will benefit from by testing himself at Championship level will be vital to his future development and well-being as a rugby player.

"Nottingham are a very competitive side within the Championship and we look forward to seeing Louis continue his development under Martin Haag and his team."

Grimoldby joined the Harlequins Academy after a successful trial period in 2012. He was previously part of the Northampton Saints Academy and attended Stamford School, captaining the rugby team.
