Nottingham Rugby Looking for Sports Therapy Intern

After a successful pre-season, Nottingham Rugby is now offering an internship for a sports therapist or physiotherapist within the sports medicine department. Primarily, the successful applicant will work with the first team squad through the course of the season, ideally for two days per week.

Nottingham Rugby is an ambitious club currently competing within the RFU Championship. This role is an opportunity for a new graduate or motivated individual to gain experience within professional rugby. Since this is a voluntary position, there may be an opportunity for part time employment within our partnership physiotherapy clinic, dependent on experience. There may also be further opportunity to become involved within the Nottingham Rugby Academy.

 

Key responsibilities:

To assist in the delivery of physiotherapy services including injury and wellness surveillance, taping and match day preparation.

To provide sports and remedial massage and assist players with post-match or post injury recovery.

To assist in the delivery of rehabilitation programmes at our training ground or our partnership gym. 

 

The ideal candidate will be:

A graduate physiotherapist, sports therapist or sports rehabilitator with relevant professional body membership and professional indemnity insurance.

Prior experience of providing sports massage or taping is beneficial.

Able to offer flexible working hours.
