In Notts We Love More Fun Than a Scrum

NOTTINGHAM Rugby is teaming up with Experience Nottinghamshire to roll out the green and white carpet for supporters.

Experience Notts Nottingham Rugby

Meadow Lane is destination rugby in a region that is bursting with legendary sporting and cultural attractions.

Experience Nottinghamshire will include a postcard with match ticket and information packs sent out to travelling fans for the remainder of the 2013/14 campaign, highlighting offers and opportunities to help ticket holders get the most from their trip as part of a new marketing campaign designed to boost the local economic impact of tourism.

The message that "One Day In Notts Is Never Enough" is aimed at getting rugby fans to spend more time in the area when they take in a game at Meadow Lane.

Nottingham Rugby chief executive Simon Beatham is proud to help build the Shire as a premier destination among rugby supporters.

"There is a rich tapestry of things to do and see in Nottinghamshire and I encourage all travelling supporters to spend more time with us," Beatham said.

"This is the home of Robin Hood and even Batman has come to call Nottingham home with Wayne Manor better known as Wollaton Hall in these parts.

"In partnership with Experience Nottinghamshire we hope to open Nottingham up as a must visit destination on the rugby calendar."

Experience Nottinghamshire chief executive Jennifer Spencer, said the partnership with Nottingham Rugby is focused on encouraging visitors to stay longer and spend more while in the county.

"Nottinghamshire is known for its strong sporting offer, and the new partnership with Nottingham Rugby will help to ensure the county is making the most of visiting rugby fans when they are here for a match. We want to ensure that visitors are given every opportunity to stay and explore while here."

If you are visiting the County go to the Experience Nottinghamshire website for more information on things to do and see during your stay.
