Nottingham Rugby is delighted to announce that the club has retained the services of hookers Ben Brownlie, Luke Cole and Jake Farnworth for next season.

All three players have played a part in the Green and White’s front row this year and Head Coach Neil Fowkes is pleased that his he’ll continue to have competition in the position.

Speaking to the club, Neil Fowkes said: “Luke, Ben and Jake are great players with a lot of potential and I am looking forward to seeing their games mature into next season.

“It’s great to have consistency in the front row and all three bring something to the table, making a really healthy competition for places at hooker.”

Nottingham Rugby is also reaping the rewards from a strong, mutually beneficial link with Nottingham Trent University, with Jake Farnworth balancing full time education with professional rugby alongside playing for the NTU first team.

Chief Operating Officer, Steve Smith, is proud of the work the club does with the Guardian’s University of the year. He said: “We’ve had some incredible success stories as a direct result of the work the Green and Whites do with NTU.

“Players like Tim Cardall and Josh Poullet have seamlessly transitioned to professional rugby after completing their studies and for players like Jake there is a clear pathway to the Championship when he graduates.”
