NTU 1st XV rugby scholar Kieran Finney has been selected to make his Nottingham Rugby debut in this Saturdays Championship fixture against Ealing Trailfinders.

Finney, who is about to complete his masters in international law enforcement, after competing his undergraduate in Law, has been an integral part in the NTU 1st XV since joining in 2021.
The second row forward has captained the 1st XV for the majority of this season and has had experience training with Nottingham over the past two years and now earns his call up to the match day squad to take on Champions Ealing on their own patch.

NTU Head of Rugby and Nottingham Assistant coach David Ross said on Finney’s selection: “Everyone at NTU is over the moon for Kieran.”
“He has been a stalwart for the university since he joined us and this season he has taken his game to another level which leads to this selection. This year has seen so many NTU players representing Nottingham in both the championship and Prem Cup and proves how good our player pathway is at progressing players through from university to the professional game”
