NTU Head Coach, David Ross, led England Students backs as they faced off against French Universities in France.

David, who was involved with selection in the build up to the squad announcement, joined up with his fellow coaches following Nottingham Rugby’s RFU Championship fixture away at Coventry (17.5.2025), before coaching a select group of students from 8 Universities to clash against French Universities.

England Students were defeated 42-31 by a strong French side in Terrasson-Lavilledieu, the home of French side USC Terrasson.

Ross commented “it was an unbelievable experience being involved with such a talented group of young men.”
“I must give credit to the boys for how hard they worked all together in such a short period of time.”
“Unfortunately we came away on the other side of the scoreline, but I’m really proud of the work everyone put in.”
