The 1 month countdown to Champ Rugby is on!
Nottingham Rugby take on Doncaster Knights on Friday 3rd October at The Bay in the opening fixture of the revamped 2025/26 Champ Rugby season.
Last season the Archers managed to complete the double over the Knights with a 14-30 victory at Castle Park in early September, followed up with a 43-18 win at home in January. Doncaster Knights then went on to win 12 consecutive fixtures to finish the season in 3rd place.
Nottingham’s head coach, Craig Hammond, quoted “it’s a really exciting time for the revamped Champ Rugby, I’m seeing lots of improvements behind the scenes which is creating real excitement for us as a club.”
“From a playing side of things, the group have been working really hard during pre-season and must continue to do so for these final few pre-season weeks and throughout what is a long season.”
