Academy case studies
Jack Dickinson
Our academy head coach is a product of the Nottingham Rugby Academy.
Born and bred in Nottingham, Jack joined the academy in 2017 whilst playing at Leicester University and Hinckley Rugby Club.
In 2018, Jack was offered the opportunity to take part in the Nottingham first team’s pre-season, and received the opportunity to play Premiership Rugby A League at Wasps.
Jack then signed for the Wasps Senior Academy, and played games on loan for Hinckley, Leicester Lions, and Cambridge.
He then finished his degree at Leicester University and continued his education at Loughborough University, where he played his rugby for a season.
In 2021, Jack then played a season at Ampthill, before signing for Nottingham in 2022.
He now has over 50 appearances for Nottingham Rugby’s first team and was named as the clubs vice-captain for the 2025/26 season.
