Jack started playing rugby at the age of 6 where he played for his local team Old Northamptonians. He continued to play for them until he had to prioritise Northampton School for Boys first team. Here he had a successful year getting Rugby World School Player of the Month and captaining the team to their first ever Daily Mail Final.
Jack then made the decision to move to Nottingham Trent University where he learnt a lot under the watch of Neil Fowkes contributing to an impressive season for NTU. Due to injury, he missed the majority of his second year. While on placement, Jack played for the National 2 side Leicester Lions, and here his gme evolved making the transition from university rugby to adult rugby a lot smoother. Fowkse brought him to train with Nottingham Rugby and he signed his first professional contract in 2016.
