Luke began his professional rugby union career in the Leeds Carnegie Academy in 2009, playing for the North of England and England U16s. Towards the latter stages of his time with Leeds Carnegie, Luke spent time on loan at both Otley and Wharfedale RUFC. Luke’s five-year spell with Leeds Carnegie saw him make numerous appearances in A-league fixtures and preseason games for the club.
Following this period, he completed two years of his career with Gloucester Rugby with a year long loan at Cinderford RUFC. He achieved three first team appearances for the club playing against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road in the Aviva Premiership and two LV cup games against Harlequins and London Welsh.
Luke then moved back up North, joining Rotherham Titans for a two-year spell in which he made 42 appearances for the club and captained the side on one occasion. Between these two years at the Titans Luke also made two appearances for the Wasps A-league side against his former club Gloucester Rugby and the Newcastle Falcons. Luke is hoping to and looking forward to contributing heavily throughout our Championship campaign this season.
