Hong Kong China rugby have been training to prepare for the World Cup, and they are preparing by getting exposure to higher quality teams to then push themselves to be able to compete at the highest level of the sport, the upcoming game is against Japan XV who have just come off playing against Australia A, the weekend just past.
HKC are also playing other sides such as Brumbies and Portugal in the future to help further develop knowledge as well as experience.

Ben commented “I have been training with them since Tuesday for a game the same Friday on the 24th at the new Kai Tak sports park. I have come in as a late injury replacement for the Hong Kong China men’s squad that will be playing in the Rugby World Cup in 2027. I am having to learn a whole new set of plays within 2 session and 4 days. There has been a lot of learning especially on how fast you have memorise new calls. But the overall experience has been brilliant and am excited to have the opportunity to play in the new facility in front of home fans and to be able to represent Trent in Hong Kong. The training sessions have consisted of skills sessions more units based, then later in the day team runs to help solidify partnerships on the pitch and plays to help beat an opposition.”
