Coventry were statistically the fourth best team in the Greene King IPA Championship during the 2019/20 season, as they finished on 65.80 points.

They were beaten 22-15 by Jersey Reds on the opening day of last season, but they quickly got their first win of the season in round two of the league campaign. They overturned Bedford Blues followed by a thumping 66-26 victory over bottom club Yorkshire Carnegie.

Round four saw them pick up a bonus point against Ealing Trailfinders, as they drew 28-28 in front of 625 supporters at the Trailfinders Sports Ground.

The first meeting of the season between Coventry and Nottingham ended in victory for Coventry at the Butts Park Arena in front of the Sky Sports cameras. A try from Luke Cole and two penalties from Shane O’Leary just wasn’t enough to pick up any points on the day.

Coventry have recently strengthened their squad significantly, with the signing of seven dual-registered players; James Harper (Prop, Sale Sharks), Cameron Jordan (Second Row, Gloucester), Sam Lewis (Back Row, Leicester Tigers), Mario Pichardie (Back Row, Wasps), Joe Snow (Scrum-Half, Exeter Chiefs), Callum Sirker (Back Three, Wasps) and Kieran Wilkinson (Fly Half, Sale Sharks).

We will meet Coventry in our third game of the 2020/21 season on the 27th March at The Bay.
