Ealing Trailfinders finished the 2019-20 Greene King IPA Championship season in 2nd place on 83.42 points, in what was an impressive season from the title-challengers.

Their season started with high difficulty for them. They lost their first match against Cornish Pirates 30-10, and after two wins against Jersey Reds (52-38) and Bedford Blues (5-18), they arrived to the match against Coventry with good vibes, but they drew the game 28-28.

The match against Nottingham was in round eight of the season at Lady Bay. It was a very intensive match that was decided by two tries of the Ealing wings. These two tries gave Ealing the victory, 10-18, on 10th January.

The same game in London was never played, due to Covid-19 cut-off.

Ealing Trailfinders’ new-signings include some new South-African players, as the hooker Shaun Malton joins from Bristol Bears. It can also be noted that the Exeter Chiefs centre Max Bodilly has also joined Ealing ahead of the 2020-21 season. This Englishman will help them in the defence and a very strong centre in attack.

Their last game played was in the Trailfinders Challenge cup, where they faced Saracens and Doncaster Knights. They won that tournament, claiming four victories from the four games that they played, and their most valued player was the back row Guy Thompson.

We will face Ealing in the opening game of the 2020-21 season on the weekend March, 06.
