Nottingham Head Coach Neil Fowkes said not getting the set pieces right in today’s game against Coventry was costly.

The Green and Whites went down 25-11 at Butts Park Arena.

He said: “We didn’t get our set piece right in the scrum which meant we was under a lot of pressure. Our forwards did really well on the opposition line out and did well to stop their driving maul but if your scrum doesn’t work then you’re under the pump especially at this level.

“Our defensive lineout was great, we won more than half the balls from their line out and we looked dangerous at points but we didn’t take our chances when we got down in the green zone. Coventry fully deserved their victory today. It goes back to no scrum no win.”
