Nottingham fell to a bonus point defeat at the hands of league-leaders Newcastle Falcons this evening, but Head Coach Neil Fowkes was pleased with the point, although he felt his side could have had more.

“We’re happy that we got a point but we feel we could have got four,” he said. “We put them under an immense amount of pressure and they didn’t take us lightly. They brought a full side and a lot of Premiership experience in there.”

Fowkes added: “Credit to our boys, they stuck at it, they were brave, ambitious and they kept playing.”

The visitors picked up three yellow cards in the game. Nagusa, Hardie and Flood all received cautions.

Neil Fowkes said: “They (Newcastle) had three yellow cards in the game and could have more because they were put under a lot of pressure and that’s pleasing to see. To get out with a point is good, and we’ll look at the chances we did have to maybe have got four.”
