NTU Rugby is delighted to appoint Josh Goodwin to the coaching team for the upcoming season. Josh, an alumnus from the university in 2023 and now current Nottingham Rugby player joins the group with backs and skills coach and will help mentor the next wave of NTU student through the player pathway, as he himself went through during his undergraduate and post graduate degrees.

Head of Rugby, David Ross commented on the appointment of Josh, “We are delighted to appoint another alumni to our coaching group, where Jacob Wright is also our S/C coach. Josh has been through the player pathway and come out to sign at Champ level with Nottingham and is the perfect role model for our current students to aspire to. He brings experience of the next level of the game and knows exactly the processes that are lads are going through joining university and representing NTU in BUCS.”

Goodwin added “It’s a privilege to join the NTU Rugby Performance coaching team. Being an NTU Alumni Scholar, The NTU Performance Programme was a big part of my rugby development and career. Now, to be able to give back and help drive an exciting group of young talent feels like a real full circle moment. I’m really looking forward to ripping into the 2025-2026 season!”
