The Green and Whites take on Saracens at The Bay this weekend off the back of a disappointing defeat at the hands of Jersey Reds last weekend.

Head Coach Neil Fowkes says he is looking for a reaction from his players, and has asked them to bring more physicality to the table.

“We felt we let ourselves down a bit at the weekend and we didn’t get our physicality right,” said Fowkes. He added: “Against a physical jersey side, if you don’t get your physicality right then that’s what happens to you on the scoreboard. We’re going out this weekend to put in a physical performance against what are some of the world’s best.”

Saracens put their marker down when they beat high-flying Ealing last weekend in a top-of-the-table clash, but Fowkes says the pressure is on Saturday’s visitors to perform at The Bay.

He said: “There’s nothing to lose on the scoreboard, that’s for Saracens to worry about. We just want to show everyone that we’re a physical side and we can do what we need to do. There are a few boys that will give that reaction because they didn’t do it last week.”
