Head Coach Neil Fowkes is looking forward to an action-packed weekend of live sport at Archer’s Sports Bar.
The weekend kicks off with Nottingham Forest vs Derby County on Friday night, followed by six live games on Saturday including the Premiership Rugby Final between Exeter Chiefs and Wasps.
“It would be great to see the Sports Bar as full as it can be,” said Fowkes. “It’s such a great place to watch live sport with the two large screens in there. The club have put it together so well with the Covid-19 measures. It’s a great place to have a beer with family and watch the game. It should be a really entertaining weekend of rugby and some Premiership football too.
“It’s a fantastic weekend of sport – (Nottingham) Forest vs Derby on Friday night. I’ll be tuning in to that myself. It’s always a good game and good television as well. On Saturday afternoon you can feast yourself on what’s happening at the minute. Hopefully people will get the chance to see a glimpse of people that have been at Nottingham in recent years.”
Next weekend rugby fans can look forward to a Six Nations triple header as Wales host Scotland, Italy take on England and France challenge Ireland.
Neil Fowkes said: “The Six Nations is coming up so it’s a fantastic month of rugby going in to December as well. I was amazed when I went in to the marquee and there were two giant screens. Rugby was on at one end and football was down the other. The sound system is great too. I was really impressed with how it’s been put together.”
The Nottingham Head Coach has been keeping busy whilst there’s no Championship rugby. He’s currently coaching the scrum at Premiership side Wasps, alongside his Head Coach role at Nottingham.
“Wasps approached me and asked if I would come in to have a look at their scrum and help them in that department,” said Fowkes. “I was really grateful to the club, Steve Smith and Alistair Bow to give me the opportunity to do that. It’s helped to keep me busy and help to strengthen our link with Wasps alongside our link with Tigers.
