Head Coach Craig Hammond has offered his thoughts ahead of the visit of Jersey Reds tomorrow evening.

Jersey currently sit in second place in the Championship table, but Hammo has put the onus on his players to focus on themselves.

“The big focus point is on us this week and making sure we get our house in order,” said Hammo. “They’re (Jersey) a good team and if you do your analysis on them, they’re pretty strong up front and they can play with their finishers out wide.

“We didn’t have a good performance against Bedford so we need to put that right at home on Friday night. They’re a good team and we understand that but we can work too much on them because of where they are and the firepower they’ve got. It’s a good challenge ahead.”

This Friday is student night at The Bay, and playing on home turf is something that is relished by the Nottingham players.

Hammo said: “Friday night lights. The boys like playing at home. We’ve got to look at ourselves as a team and the boys have trained well. We’ve got to be consistent and it’s a good opportunity on Friday night to put things right.”
