Nottingham Rugby are back in action this weekend when they face Jersey Reds at the Stade Santander on Saturday 12 January in the Greene King IPA Championship.

Bolstered by the arrival of dual registered prop Owen Hills, winger Tom Varndell and lock Sam Lewis, the Green and Whites will be expecting a difficult test against a very strong Jersey side.

However, Nottingham head into the game in good form, sitting in sixth in the table, with just three points separating them from Cornish Pirates in third.

Head Coach Neil Fowkes said: “It’s been an incredibly important couple of weeks for us since the draw to Coventry before Christmas.

“We struggled with injuries ahead of that game but we were happy with the effort the boys put in in difficult conditions. We will be working hard on our discipline going forward to gives us the best possible chance of coming out with a win.”

“It’s been a boost to have the boys from Tigers join us too and I’m looking forward to seeing them kick on with the rest of the team.

“We have two very tough games coming up but we’re confident that we are capable of competing with the better sides in the league.”
