Nottingham will be looking to make it three consecutive Championship victories on Friday night when the Green and Whites take on Hartpury at The Bay.

Neil Fowkes’ men have won the previous two league games, and will now look to overcome a tough Hartpury side.

“They’re a tough, gritty side,” said Fowkes. “They know what they do and they do it well. It’s going to be a tough evening and we’ve got to make sure we come out on the right side of the fine margins that will be out there on the pitch – back at their place we didn’t do that.

“We’ve been working on those things and making sure our game is tight enough where it needs to be but also still allow the boys the opportunity to play.”

Hartpury overcame Nottingham 12-6 back in October in some torrid weather conditions, so Fowkes is hoping for a better outcome at The Bay.

He said: “That game was a while ago and was played in tough conditions. You have to take that game stand alone. Hartpury, on the night, played those conditions better and got the win. Hopefully it will be different on Friday night at The Bay as we put our best foot forward and try to keep the momentum going.”
