Two new Little Ruggers programmes will be running on Saturday’s from 22nd February until 2nd May. There will be no sessions on the 14th march and 11th April due to match days. Sessions run at The Bay (9:15am – 10am) and Southwell Rugby Club (11am-11:45am).

Teaching children aged two to five the fundamentals of rugby in a fun, accessible and friendly way, the incredibly-popular programme, which has won Local and National Awards, has been designed by highly experienced coaches and is delivered by the Nottingham Rugby Community Team.

Nottingham Rugby Head Coach, Neil Fowkes, said: “Little Ruggers is a fantastic example of the Green and Whites’ desire to support local community rugby clubs and to getting children and their parents / guardians physically active.

“We pride ourselves on our community and it is at its best when people of all ages are taking part in the sport one way or another.

“The programme is led by qualified rugby coaches but we do ask the child’s parent or guardian to take part in the majority of the session.”

Steve Smith, Chief Operating Officer at Nottingham Rugby, said: “Little Ruggers has been incredibly popular over the past few years and we are expecting the same high turn out again.

“We believe that rugby is a family orientated sport and it’s great to see parents and their children learning the fundamental skills of the sport together.

“We’ve worked incredibly hard to develop the sessions and we are looking forward to seeing some new and familiar faces when they kick off again in May.”

Little Ruggers costs just £2.00 per session and no pre-booking is required.
