Nottingham Rugby Head Coach Neil Fowkes has announced the team that will face Yorkshire Carnegie in the fifth round of the Championship Cup on Sunday at The Bay.The Green and Whites kept their cup hopes alive when they beat Coventry 33-24 last week and, while they currently sit bottom of Pool 1, they could still progress to the next round if results go their way.

Naming five changes to the starting XV that were victorious at The Bay last Friday, Nottingham will be aiming to make it two wins in two at home.

Shane O’Leary returns to the side at fly-half replacing Will Millett following his return from international duty with Canada, who qualified for the Rugby World Cup after winning the repechage tournament in France.

Luke Peters also returns to the side at centre after being rested last week. He is joined in the backs by Callum Sirker who will play on the wing.

In the pack, Aniseko Sio starts replacing James Penman with Mike Daniels returning to the side in the front row.

Speaking ahead of the game, Neil Fowkes said: “It was great to get a result last weekend against a good Coventry side.

“Yorkshire are a fantastic side who are gathering momentum with some new signings, they will undoubtedly be a tough test for us.

“But it will be a test that we are ready for and I am excited for what will be another brilliant afternoon of rugby at The Bay.”
