After hosting some of its most popular camps ever last season, Nottingham Rugby is delighted to announce that they will be bringing its award-winning community programme to Mellish RFC and Nottingham Moderns RFC this summer.

The Green and White’s holiday camps have proved to be incredibly popular over the past few years, with kids between the ages of 5 to 12 being taught rugby skills in a fun and accessible environment.

Costing just £20 per child per day or £80 for the whole week, with a special discount of £70 for the whole week if your child currently plays for either Mellish or Moderns, the camps run 9am-3:30pm Monday to Friday.

The camp at Moderns will run 29 July to 2 August while the Mellish Camp will run from 19 August to 23 August.

Nottingham Rugby Chief Operating Officer Steve Smith said: “Our camps have been revamped for the summer and we are delighted to be bringing them to the Nottinghamshire rugby community over the school holidays this year.

“It gives kids the chance to receive fantastic coaching from our community team while having really fun experience.

“If your club would like to host one of our camps drop me an email at steve.smith@nottinghamrugby.co.uk.”

Community Coach Josh Salathiel said: “We pride ourselves on having strong links with local clubs and it’s great to have Moderns and Mellish onboard this summer.

“The camps are a great way for kids to spend a couple of days or a week playing rugby over the summer before the season starts again.”

As well as receiving fantastic coaching, all kids who attend the camp also get free NRFC merchandise as well as a free family pass (2 adults, 3 children) to Nottingham Rugby’s first home match of the season.
