The Green and Whites are delighted to welcome Backs Coach David Ross to Neil Fowkes’ coaching team for the 2019/20 Greene King IPA Championship.

David will join Nottingham after a stint as Director of Rugby at the reputable King’s College in Auckland.

He will also be taking on the role as Head of Rugby at Nottingham Trent University as part of Nottingham’s strong player development programme with NTU Rugby.

Having been Director of Rugby at the University of St Andrews, David has vast experience in coaching university rugby.

He also boasts a wealth of knowledge of the men’s game after working with Auckland’s Mitre 10 programme in the professional game in New Zealand and also through his role as Head Coach of Auckland Men’s 7s.

Speaking about his new role, David said: “I’m really excited about the new challenge Nottingham will bring and I can’t wait to join Neil Fowkes and the coaching team at The Bay.

“The Green and Whites play a really exciting style of rugby and the ethos of the club is something I am looking forward to being a part of.

“It’s also a huge opportunity to work with the fantastic programme at NTU alongside Chris Campbell and I will be working hard to get them back where they belong – the BUCS Super League.”

Chris Campbell, Performance Sport Manager at Nottingham Trent University said: “We are delighted to welcome David to the team. His vast experience of university programmes is something that we are extremely pleased with and his knowledge of the game will be fantastic for our young, talented players.
