Archer’s Sports Bar, at Nottingham Rugby, will temporarily close as a result of the new Tier 3 restrictions in Nottingham, Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe.

New measures will come into force at one-minute past midnight on Thursday, October 29 and will last for 28 days, but they will be closely monitored by Government.

Going into Tier 3 means pubs and bars have to close while households are banned from mixing indoors or in private gardens and beer gardens.

Steve Smith, Chief Operating Officer at Nottingham Rugby said: “Going in to Tier 3 means we must close the Sports Bar temporarily which is a great shame for the rugby club, as the first few weeks of opening have been brilliant.”

“We’ve shown a whole host of live sport in the marquee including Cricket, Rugby and Football and it’s proved to be very popular, considering the restrictions we have operated under for most of this time.”

“We’re already looking forward to re-opening when Government guidance allows us to, and we promise to provide an even better experience upon our return.”
