Nottingham Rugby’s new partnership with the ‘Cassidy Group’ hit the ground running on Sunday 16th September when our whole senior squad visited thirteen local rugby clubs to help coach children aged six to eighteen years of age.

Neil Fowkes the clubs Head Coach said “I’ve been part of the rugby community in Nottinghamshire for thirty years and know how much it means to children to have a professional player visit and help coach them.  As a club, we are proud to be able to help local clubs and its great to have the Cassidy Group supporting us.”

The Cassidy Group are an International Property Development Company based in Meriden, within the heart of England.  The Cassidy Group currently have five residential development projects in Nottingham with a total value of over £200m and are looking forward to working with the club over the next few years.

The mornings coaching took place at club venues all across Nottinghamshire and over the border into Derbyshire, with the players delivering exciting coaching sessions for approximately 1000 children.

Steve Smith the clubs Chief Operating Officer said “we pride ourselves as a club on supporting local clubs as much as we can, who do so much to attract 1000s of young boys and girls to the game of rugby in Nottinghamshire.

“We know that these young players are also our future supporters at Nottingham Rugby and we have invited large groups of young players to be our guests when we play Hartpury on Sunday 14th October.

“I would like to thank The Cassidy Group for their support in our community programmes and they are a great addition to our team.”

The club also has a rugby camp running during the school holidays from Monday 29th October to Friday 2nd November, costing just £80 for all five days or £20 per day.
