Nottingham Rugby is proud to announce the new Headline Sponsor for season 2019-20, the ‘Cassidy Group’ following their involvement with the club last season as a sponsor and also community partner for several projects.
The announcement of the Cassidy Group becoming the new Headline Sponsor will see them becoming the main shirt sponsor at Nottingham Rugby, taking over from Peter James Homes who continue as a Platinum club sponsor. Steve Smith the clubs Chief Operating Officer said “we would like to welcome The Cassidy Group as our new Headline Club Sponsors for the upcoming season. Its great having people on-board as passionate about their involvement in the community as Patric and James Cassidy and we look forward to continuing to work with them.”
“The Cassidy Group has already supported our community rugby programmes for the past twelve months and we are really excited to increase this involvement next season, with a particular emphasis around the Rugby World Cup.” One of the projects the club are currently working with Nottingham City Sports Partnership and Nottingham Moderns Rugby Club to host a City Primary Schools Tag Festival in October during the Rugby World Cup where children aged 9 – 11 will get the opportunity to represent their school and those who are interested can then join Moderns Rugby Club for some taster sessions prior to hopefully joining the club. Nottingham Rugby players will also be present at the festival to hopefully inspire more young players to take part in the game.”
Patric Cassidy said “we are really pleased to be able to continue our partnership with Nottingham Rugby and will be providing more than 5,000 opportunities throughout the season for young people to take part in sport and physical activity locally. The club is organising for the entire senior squad of approximately thirty-five players to visit local Nottinghamshire clubs, providing coaching support to mini / junior sections on Sunday 15th September, something we are very proud to be able to support.”
