Cornish Pirates are the visitors at The Bay tonight for the second time in under a month.

They visited on 4th October in the Championship Cup, and proved to be a tough nut to crack, running out 42-7 winners on the night, and Neil Fowkes is expecting more of the same tonight.

Nottingham’s Head Coach said: “They’re a good side, and as I said before and in the programme notes, I think they will be there or there abouts at the top of the league come the end of the season.”

The Pirates faces top-of-the-league Newcastle Falcons last time out, and were beaten 18-9 in a close game at Mennaye Field.

“They had a close fixture against Newcastle even though the score line might not suggest how close it was,” said Fowkes. He added: “We’re expecting them to come here at full-throttle after a tough game against Newcastle on Friday night. They’re a tough, physical side who will be there or there abouts at the end of the year.”
