Nottingham Rugby is delighted to announce that loosehead prop Tom Hill will join Neil Fowkes’ squad for the 2019/20 season alongside Aniseko Sio and Jamie Jack who have signed new deals with the club.

Joining from Yorkshire Carnegie, the 23-year-old former New Zealand U20 made his debut against Neil Fowkes’ side in the Championship Cup, scoring a try in the process.

Tom then featured regularly in the Carnegie squad for the remainder of the season and will strengthen Nottingham’s options at loosehead for next year.

Tom said: “I’m really excited to be joining the Green and Whites, Nottingham play a really exciting free-flowing attacking style of rugby and I can’t wait to join up with the squad in summer.

“They were a tough side to play against this year and I am looking forward to experiencing the great atmosphere at The Bay next season.”

Aniseko Sio and Jamie Jack have become regular faces in the starting XV over the course of this season and Nottingham fans will undoubtedly pleased to see the pair have committed to the club for another year.

Jamie Jack will be signing his first professional contract as a result of Nottingham Rugby’s strong link with Nottingham Trent University.

Balancing full-time study with BUCS Super League Rugby and Greene King IPA Championship action, he will be looking to follow in the steps of fellow ex-NTU players Josh Poullet and Tim Cardall and enjoy a fantastic start to his pro career.

Head Coach Neil Fowkes said: “I am delighted to welcome a player of Tom’s quality to the club.

“He’s proven that he is a great professional at Championship level and at a young age, he has a very bright career ahead of him.

“To have Seko and Jamie signing for us is a great boost too, creating really strong competition at loosehead for next year.”

Nottingham Rugby’s Chief Operating Officer, Steve Smith said: “Jamie’s graduation from student player to Championship professional is something that all NTU players have the potential to achieve.

“There is a clear pathway to success as a result of our link with Nottingham Trent University and I am proud to say we have another professional player joining us as a result.”
