Nottingham Rugby is seeking out to hire a strength & conditioning placement student for the 2026/27 season. This position is open to current students studying at Nottingham Trent University, University of Nottingham, Loughborough University and University of Derby who are currently studying Sport and Exercise Science or a relevant degree.
You will work closely with coaches and other support staff to help carry out day to day tasks within the Sport Science department while gaining invaluable insight into the role of a strength and conditioning coach within a semi-professional rugby club.
The position is an unpaid, voluntary student placement helping out the Nottingham Rugby 1st XV. Hours will be discussed with the successful candidate, with ideally being present at all home matches.
Nottingham Rugby will endeavour to to support the successful candidate’s development, providing exposure and experience within the sport science department. Alongside this, staff use of the Nottingham Rugby gym and travel.
