Remit:

This post will lead the provision of analysis services to Nottingham Rugby. Working as part of the Coaching department, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of new strategies and resources.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Filming and code training and matches using Hudl Sportscode
  • Collect and provide post-­‐match statistical outputs for the coaches and players
  • Manage the Club’s analysis provision via the web-­‐based ‘Hudl’ platform
  • Compile and code footage of the opposition from online sources such as the RFU Elite Hub
  • Produce video and presentations as directed by coaches
  • Collect and code footage of potential players for recruitment purposes
  • Provide delivery of additional analysis support services to the coaches and players

Person Specification:

  • Excellent communicator and engaging personality, the post holder will enjoy networking with other people
  • Driven, with the capacity to approach problems creatively
  • Excellent personal time management skills, able to focus on priorities in the face of tight deadlines
  • A good team player, willing to take on other team roles when required
  • Enthusiastic approach to learning in a practical setting whilst demonstrating confidence in own professional ability
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Valid driving license is required
  • Personal circumstances must allow the candidate to work extended hours, evenings and weekends as required

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in using Digital Video cameras for team sports
  • Competence in the use of software and analysis packages to present information including SportsCode, Hudl, Micro Soft Excel and Apple Sheets
  • Prior analysis experience within a team environment
  • Experience of working with Apple Mac computers
  • Knowledge of Rugby Union is an advantage

Job Period:

 

  • June 2019 to April 2020 inclusive

 

Remuneration:

 

  • A living assistance grant To be discussed at interview
